Way of the Earthmother allows the researcher to found the Runes of Kilmorph, if they are the first to do so. If you have the Runes of Kilmorph as your State Religion, you may also research Arête after Way of the Earthmother. It also allows you to build Soldiers of Kilmorph (also requiring the Runes of Kilmorph in the city), which can be sacrificed to hurry a building, and Thanes of Kilmorph, which can spread the religion. You get a free Thane of Kilmorph when you obtain the technology.
